Really some of the best Caribbean food! Their Greenbelt presence went from having a booth at the annual Labor Day Festival to taking over this restaurant space. I really want them to succeed in this space, but they need our support!!

So friendly. I love the old Greenbelt community in this shopping center but hadn’t tried Sunrise. So glad I did! Lovely owners. Authentic FRESH food. Vegan and non. The patties were the BEST I’ve ever had, no lie…and I lived in Brooklyn for some years so I’ve eaten many a pattie!

First things first… the food was superb. I was pretty in shock at how tasty each and every item we ordered was. We ordered chicken curry, jerk chicken, Mac & Cheese, Fried Plantains, Curried potatoes w/Chikpeas, & lentils and not a single item was lacking flavor & savoryness! Food easily was a 10/10. Service on the other hand was ehh; we had to grab our own menus and kind of sit ourselves on some dirty tables which was a little surprising considering the place had seemed to be a restaurant but thankfully the food made up for it. I kid you not though, food was delicious and the prices were also very reasonable. Each dish you see in the picture attached was $15 and was more than enough to fill you up. If your in the mood for takeout, this is a hands down top tier spot to go to Order: Jerk Chicken, Rice & Peas, and Fried Plantains and you’ll be happy!

This is a special place run by an amazing woman in the heart of Old Greenbelt! We coordinated with them to host a special party. The food was delicious and the space was perfect for our group.

I decided to make the trip from Baltimore to get some authentic Trinidadian food. Sunrise offered an AYCE buffet that provided all of the options of a traditional Sunday lunch. The food was delicious! The staff was kind and attentive. Let's hear Calypso, Soca, and steelpan playing throughout, whether it is live or through a good playlist. I can see this becoming a regular Sunday experience.

I ordered the goat and it was delicious. My family members had the vegan jerk and sweet and sour chicken, they too enjoyed their food. They are also open on Sunday which is rare for a Caribbean restaurant. I will be back!

As a Caribbean person who just moved to the area, finding this spot so close to where I’m living now is such a godsend. The owners and staff are sooooo sweet, attentive, the atmosphere is so nice and the food is phenomenal. Loved the vegan food served here, and I loved the meat alternative options. So good. Ended up coming in on a Sunday afternoon incidentally and go figure they have a buffet! Can’t recommend enough.
